Physiotherapy has a holistic and client-centered approach to health care. We work autonomously and collaboratively alongside health care teams. We have an in-depth knowledge of how the body works and the mechanics necessary for optimal functioning. We use evidence informed knowledge to assess, treat, educate, and empower our clients to promote independence and improve quality of life. We strive to help you achieve your goals with a customized treatment plan, active rehabilitation, and self-help tools.
At Life Integrative, our physiotherapist has advanced training in exercise prescription, pelvic floor physiotherapy, clinical mat pilates, fitness in the prenatal and postpartum population, and persistent pain.
Pelvic floor physiotherapists have additional training in an area becoming more established in literature as a first-line defence against incontinence and pelvic pain. It may involve both an internal and external examination of the muscles and structures of the pelvis and the entire body.
Clinical Mat Pilates is a rehabilitative adaptive approach to traditional pilates. It is taught one-to-one by a physiotherapist. It can be the perfect therapy to help strengthen your entire body, prevent or rehabilitate injuries, and empower you to have a deeper understanding of your body.
At your physiotherapy appointment, you can expect to have a discussion with your physiotherapist on what your primary concerns and goals are, medical history, a physical assessment, and appropriate education and exercises to work on until your next session.
Physiotherapy is often covered by extended health plans, please check with your insurance provider prior to your first visit to have an understanding of your plan coverage.
At Life Integrative, we accept ICBC claims and do not accept WSBC claims.
