Stress on/stress ON. We are an increasingly busy society. Focused on achieving and achievement. Doing more. Being better. More work, more parenting, more stimulation, longer hours, less sleep, less help. We are ON more often than not. This is not serving us. It leaves us depleted in a variety of ways, and leads to “burnout” and eventually to hormonal dysfunction (adrenal, thyroid and sex hormones). Without rest, we can’t reset, physically, mentally or emotionally. How do you turn OFF? Do you get sufficient, high quality sleep? Do you meditate? How do you prioritize rest? How do you support yourself physically, mentally and emotionally?
