Ahhh… New Year’s Resolutions. How are they coming along? Me, so so. Some days I have endless patience, drink 8 glasses of water, and only one coffee. Others… not so much🤷‍♀️ Do I care? Not really. Will I keep trying? Of course. The intention is there. I’m forming new habits, new neural pathways, better coping mechanisms (um at what age does the “witching hour” end?! Because it’s still going strong over here👶). Build some flexibility into your goals and intentions (can we call them goals and intentions rather than resolutions?!) Some grace please. That’s how you get to where you want to go. I’ve said it before, but trying to do things “perfectly” is only going to set you up for failure and then let’s be honest, you’re going to feel like crap and call it quits on those “unachievable” goals.
Make them achievable by allowing for flexibility, for days when it doesn’t all go according to plan. Reflect, re-adjust, and continue on. Sound good? Onwards, friends
